This is effectively a local membership scheme suitable for those who do not wish to be fully paid-up members of Endurance GB. It is a good way for those new to endurance riding to gain experience at training and pleasure rides without having to commit to full membership of EGB and registration of the horse. For an annual fee 20.00 pounds sole or 24.00 pounds for a family, half year 10.00 pounds sole or 12.00 pounds for a family (one parent + 2 living at the same address).
The final results for this seasons 4 for the North competition were announced at the Northumberland & Tynesides Endurance GB annual awards evening on the 14th December.

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to hire a horse from Jack Begaud to compete at Compiegne in Northern France. The horse I was offered was called Niaouly, he was fantastic, much larger than I am used to riding and Jack took one look at me and said we will change the bit. This did not immediately inspire me with confidence but I had the opportunity to ride him for an hour the Saturday morning before the ride on the Sunday. I was pleased I had taken my own stirrups and found him very comfortable.
